Travel information from the tour guide.
Arrival in Kolomna.
Sightseeing tour of the Kolomna Kremlin. As with any medieval fortress, the Kolomna Kremlin is associated with many legends and traditions. There is a legend that after the defeat of the Polish invasion, Marina Mnishek, the wife of both False Dmitrievs and the lover of the rebellious Cossack chieftain Ivan Zarutsky, was imprisoned in the Kolomna Tower of the Kremlin. According to one legend, she died here "longing for freedom," according to another, "turned into a magpie and flew away through the loophole window." Since then, the Kolomna Tower has been popularly called the "Marinka Tower". Many secrets are kept by other towers and dungeons of the Kremlin.
We will go to the world's only museum pastille Factory. Within its walls, you can not only see, but also participate in the pastille production process. According to the technologies of the 19th century: wash the apples in a Flight drum, remove the hearts from them using a core picker, wipe and boil applesauce in a cauldron, beat the pastille dough with a whorl, dry it in special chambers of the Russian oven, and, of course, taste freshly prepared pastilles in the raspberry lounge. Your assistants will be the pastry chef and artisans of the pastille establishment, and the owner himself, Pyotr Karpovich Chuprikov, will meet you in the office.
The Museum factory has a whole farm – its own garden, where special varieties of pastille apples are grown, a courtyard, a barn, and an ancient fruit storage facility. Our gardener will share with you useful knowledge about the care of an apple orchard, gleaned from ancient manuals. Two shops have been opened at the factory – a horticultural one, where you can buy replicas of antique equipment and various useful little things, and a pastry shop selling all kinds of branded Chuprikov pastilles and other sweets in boxes in the old manner.
